Chattanooga Sprint Triathlon

Chattanooga, TN

Postponement to 2018
We regret to announce that we will be cancelling the 2017 Dam Triathlon/Chattanooga Sprint Tri on Aug 6. We had high hopes to continue the tradition this year but a late start organizing the race and working with the city proved to be too much to take on this year.

After the Sports Barn Sprint was cancelled, we hoped to fill the void left by such a great race. We were not able to get registration open until we had preliminary approval from TVA, the City of Chattanooga, and the Parks Department. It wasn't until we finalized the permit with the city that we realized that the road closure would be so complicated and require a budget higher than the race would support.

We greatly appreciate the support of the Chattanooga Triathlon Club, the City of Chattanooga, TVA, and the Chattanooga Police Department. Members from every one of these organizations stepped forward on short notice to make this event happen this year.

We'd also like to thank all the triathletes for their support.

Therefore, we are refunding everyone and plan to set a date for next year as soon as possible. Thanks for your understanding.

Chattanooga's summer sprint tradition continues, with the new Chattanooga Sprint Triathlon at the Dam.

1/4 mile swim in Chickamauga lake, 8.5 mile bike to transition on the river walk and a 5k run on the river walk.

Register as an Individual, Clydesdale, Athena or Relay team.

This is a USAT sanctioned event. You will be required to have an active annual USA Triathlon license or purchase a 1 day.

In the event you can not race, there will be no refunds, however we will allow transfer to next years race if you notify us within 1 week prior to the race.
